As Giresun University Görele Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design, we invite designers, artists and students to share their creative thoughts once again for the 6th edition of “What Unites Us?”, which we organize every year within the scope of April 27 World Design Day. We invite designers, artists and students to share their creative thoughts once again for the 6th edition of the International Juried Poster Design Exhibition!

As conflicts, cultural divisions and ideological differences become more and more evident in today's world, we need to ask ourselves the question: What really unites us? Is it a shared history, common emotions, similar dreams? Is it the power of communication, the universal language of art and design, or the fundamental human desire to connect?

In an age where both physical and intellectual borders shape societies, we believe that design can transcend these boundaries and create new forms of dialog. Through this exhibition, we invite designers to explore the visual and conceptual dimensions of unity.

How is unity possible? Can a single image create a shared sense of belonging? Can our differences be the strongest bond that unites us?

This year, together with participants from around the world, we are seeking creative and inspiring answers to these questions through poster design. We look forward to your contributions to this exhibition, which aims to create a common visual language by bringing together the perspectives of designers from different cultures.

Terms and Conditions

1. Participation to the exhibition is free and open to everyone.

2. Each designer can apply with a maximum of 1 design.

3. Applications will be made only by e-mail to goreleguzelsanatlar@gmail.com. No other applications will be accepted.

4. Poster designs can be made with any technique. The works to be sent via e-mail must be 50x70 cm. in size, 72 dpi resolution and JPEG format. Apart from this, applications that are not sent in accordance with the format will not be evaluated.

5. The language of the design to be sent must be only in ENGLISH.

6. Designs should not contain any logo, organization name or commercial image. Images that damage or target any institution or person should not be used. In addition, designs that contain elements of insult, anger, etc. will not be evaluated.

7. The designs submitted to the exhibition must be original and must not have been published elsewhere before.

8. The designs will be evaluated online by the jury members. As a result of the evaluation, the 'list of works to be exhibited' will be announced on the site on the specified dates; no further e-mail notification or announcement will be made regarding the works that are not deemed suitable for evaluation.

9. Designs submitted after the deadline will not be evaluated.

10. The naming of the relevant files will be done as in the example given. In the name of the submitted file; “the designer's name, surname and the country of participation” should be written. The file name should only be written in capital letters. The example file name is as follows;

“NAME_SURNAME_COUNTRY”

11. The designs will be exhibited online at “https://onlyposter.wixsite.com/wuu6” on April 27, 2025.

12. All exhibited works will be included in the archive of Giresun University Görele Faculty of Fine Arts. The works will be used in the catalog, social media, etc. channels of the current exhibition.

13. A digital participation certificate and digital catalog will be published on the exhibition site for all designers whose works are accepted.
