All children born in different parts of the world, in different languages, and in different cultures, have one common denominator: their rights. Every child has innate rights such as life, education, protection, freedom of expression, and access to love.

However, these rights are still ignored in many parts of the world; migration and forced displacement, in particular, profoundly impact the lives of millions of children. Children uprooted from their homes by war, poverty, natural disasters, or forced migration are sometimes deprived of education, healthcare, and a safe life, leaving them with incomplete beginnings in a life where they could not fully experience their childhood.

As the Graphic Design Department of the Görele Faculty of Fine Arts at Giresun University, we are organizing the "International Children's Rights Poster Exhibition" to make this reality visible, to give voice to migrant children whose voices are often overlooked, and to raise global awareness.
Following last year's highly popular first exhibition, this second event, themed "Migrant Children," aims to reach a wider audience through the power of art. Because we believe that every poster produced using the universal language of art can touch a conscience, raise awareness, and initiate change.

The fact that the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child has been ratified by 196 countries as of July 2022 demonstrates that children's rights are recognized as a global value. However, millions of children, especially on migration routes, in border areas, and in refugee camps, still lack access to equal rights. From education to healthcare, from shelter to security, from freedom of expression to protection from violence, migrant children remind us of humanity's shared responsibility.

This is where the power of art comes into play: to make problems visible, convey emotions, and mobilize humanity. This exhibition is not merely a graphic design event; it is a global call that makes the stories of migrant children visible, touches their dreams, and speaks to the collective conscience of humanity. Because we believe that:

• Every child is equal.
• Every child deserves protection.
• Every child should be able to dream and live those dreams.

And we know that design/art is the most powerful way to make this belief visible.
Every line can carry hope.

Every color can express a child's dream.

Every poster can initiate change.

This year, the International Children's Rights Poster Exhibition, centered on the theme of "Migrant Children," invites you to bring your imagination to life in your designs. This event not only aims to make rights violations visible; it also creates a meeting point for designs that reflect the hopes, dreams, and demands for equality and freedom of migrant children.

We dream of seeing hope, solidarity, love, and the pursuit of justice in your work. Because we know that art transforms, heals, and unites.

This international event aims to bring together designers, artists, academics, and students—in short, all creative minds—from around the world. Your designs can draw attention to the problems faced by migrant children, visualize a proposed solution, or simply inspire a hopeful future.

Our goal is not only to raise awareness; it is also to open the doors to a global dialogue on the rights of migrant children. By bringing together posters from different corners of the world, we will build a universal consciousness through diversity and multi-voices.

Be a part of this awareness.

Come see and feel the world anew through the eyes of immigrant children, and reflect it through your designs.

Your design can be a child's voice, make hope visible, and ignite the first spark that will change the future.

Because we know that the message conveyed through a poster can change a child's life.
