Exhibition Call
Exhibition Call

Design is widely regarded as one of the most powerful forms of visual communication, capable of building connections across differences. Designers who are devoted to poster design create their works with a strong awareness of its meaning and impact. In this context, the theme “What Unites Us” stands as a significant call to reconsider, through visual language, the shared values, experiences, and emotions that bring individuals, societies, and cultures together.

Organized as part of the 7th International Poster Exhibition, this call aims to bring together designers, academics, students, and independent creators from different disciplines to establish a common visual language—one that seeks to reduce the chaos we are surrounded by and to improve ideas. It is, in essence, an invitation to demonstrate how concepts such as collective action in times of crisis, solidarity, belonging, collective memory, the relationship with nature, and the shared ground of humanity can be expressed through design. In short, it is a call to come together for the unity of all humanity in this beautiful world we share.

Today, the world increasingly produces division and distance. In this context, poster design continues to exist as one of the rare platforms capable of establishing connection. As a concentrated visual surface, the poster creates a space where different visual approaches encounter one another. Designers from diverse geographies present their own visual languages on this surface, developing the potential to establish a shared dialogue against division and distance.

So, what truly holds us together?

Is it living in the same world, the same geography, speaking the same language, or sharing the same images? Or will this unity take shape through the possibility of differences coexisting side by side—with your contribution as participants?

Each image carries its own context; yet when placed side by side, it produces a shared field of meaning. So do we: we are not the same, but we are together. Through our capacity for design, our language, our profession, our labor, our intentions, our worldview, and all the meaningful actions we take for humanity and nature…

…and for this very reason, as we have done for the past seven years, we once again ask for your support to spread peace and beauty across the world:
